Chihuly Inspired Sculptures

Talk about a fun project! 

After looking in amazement at some of Chihuly's work, students got busy making their own version! 

  • Students colored two sheets of shrink paper using permanent markers - some solid areas, some patterned
  • Cut the paper into interesting shapes (some large, some small)
  • After baking in the oven for a couple minutes the pieces turned into these wacky shapes perfect for building!
  • Using hot glue and some assistance, students assembled their sculptures
